Surrey Young Walkers

About Surrey Young Walkers

Surrey Young Walkers (SYW) is a friendly walking and hiking group aimed at people in their 20's and 30's, based in and around Surrey. We put on a range of walks, from 3-mile gentle rambles to 20-mile strenuous hikes. We have weekends away, across the UK and abroad. We also have social meet-ups, visits to local landmarks and sights as well as live music venues, pubs and other activities.

Whether you are new to walking or an experienced walker who is looking for a group to walk with, you are more than welcome to join us on any of our walks.

Ramblers Association

Your first 3 walks with us are completely free of charge or commitment, but after that we ask that you join our parent organization, the Ramblers Association. The Ramblers are a national walking charity who maintain and protect footpaths, campaign for walkers rights and rights of way, help the disabled and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.

Membership is very reasonably priced, with discounts for joint membership and concessions. Membership allows you to come on as many walks as you like - not only with us, but with any of the 500 Ramblers groups across the country. Even if you only come on one walk a month we're cheaper than many "pay per walk" groups!
